Subscriptions

How can I access the service?

You need to have an annual, weekly or daily subscription to use Verona Bike. Subscriptions can be purchased on the www.bikeverona.it website or the official app.

What is the age limit for using this service?

The user must be 16 years of age. Users between 16 and 18 years must have the permission oftheir parents or legal guardians. Only customers over 18 years of age can use the electric bicycles with child seat.

What are the payment methods for subscribing?

The only payment method is via Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit cards and prepaid cards. With the same credit card, you can buy more than one subscription.

Is the subscription active immediately?

Yes, it's active immediately! As soon as you purchase your subscription you will be able to take a bike using your app.

I need an invoice. How do I go about getting one?

To receive an invoice for a Verona Bike subscription, send an e-mail to info@bikeverona.it the same day you purchase your subscription. Your e-mail must contain details of your subscription, the invoice header, VAT number and tax number.

Do I have to communicate new details if I change my credit card?

Your Verona Bike subscription is linked to the credit card used to purchase it. If the credit card is no longer valid, you will need to link a new credit card to stop your subscription from being automatically blocked. To modify your Verona Bike card details, enter the Profile section on bikeverona.it or in the official app. You will find a section named "Payment Cards", here you will be able to change or erase your credit card. You will be redirected to the dedicated page, add your new card number and confirm.

How can I unsubscribe from the service?

You can unsubscribe, but you will not receive a refund. There are two ways in which you can unsubscribe: A – By accessing your Verona Bike account, entering your user name and password given at registration, clicking on "Unsubscribing" and following the instructions. B – by sending an e-mail to info@bikeverona.it.

I unsubscribed by mistake. What can I do?

Unsubscribing is irreversible. If you want to continue using the services, you have to purchase a new subscription.

How the service works

How do I pick up a bike?

If you have a Verona Bike card, hold it close to the station reader. If you use the app chose the chose the option "unlock" directly from there.The screen on the station or the app will show you the slot number for bike pick up.

How do I return the bike?

To correctly return the bike follow these simple instructions: 1) check that the slot LED is green (if it is red, it cannot be used); 2) lift the handlebars and hook the pins under the basket into the special holes; 3) check that the bike is locked in; 4) to check everything is OK also place your Verona Bike card near the reader or have a look at your app. A confirmation message will appear on the screen

How long can I keep a bicycle?

For a maximum period of two hours. After two hours you will receive a penalty. Your subscription will be automatically cancelled at the third penalty. After 24 hours of consecutive use, a fine of €150.00 will be applied and your subscription automatically cancelled. For further information on charges, see the Rates page. Remember that the bicycle cannot be left unattended. The bike sharing service is different from a bike rental because the bicycle can be used by more than one person during the day. Because of this, you have to keep the bicycle enough time to reach the destination and then return it. In case of need, you can pick another bicycle. During the day, you can use Verona Bike as many time as you want but you must not keep a bicycle for more than 2 hours.

Can the same user pick up more than one bike on the same subscription at the same time?

No. You can only pick up one bike per subscription. Your subscription is personal and non-transferable. A new bike cannot be picked up until the previous bike has been returned and five minutes have passed since the last bike return.

How late can I use Verona Bike?

The service is operative 365 days a year from 6.00 am to 00.00 am. Outside of these hours you can only return a bike, not pick one up.

Other Information

Does Verona bike offer insurance cover?

Yes. Verona Bike has public liability insurance cover for damage to third parties caused by malfunction of any Verona Bike component, equipment or structure.

When does my responsibility for the bike end?

Remember that the service conditions of use specify that the user is responsible for the bike as soon as it is picked up from the station when it is correctly hooked in the original or another station.

What should I do when I pick up a bicycle with a fault?

When you take a bike, check if everything is in order, if not, returning the bike within 3 minutes, you can take another one without having to wait.

The bike has a lock?

Verona Bike bicycles have a chain and padlock, under the front basket. Remove the key after having locket the bike, and keep it with you.
