Types of cookies utilized, reasons for using cookies, and impact of cookies on the user

A cookie is a small text file, consisting generally of letters and numbers (with an ID tag), which can be deposited on the computer or mobile device used by a visitor when accessing our Platforms. Generally speaking, cookies allow a website to recognize the device and the browsing activities of the user when returning to the site, or when visiting another website that recognizes the same cookies.

Different cookies perform different functions. Managing cookies manually

Should the user wish to block all cookies every time, this can be done by way of the relative browser setting. It should be remembered however that if cookies are blocked, certain parts of our website may be unable to operate correctly, and this will adversely affect the user's browsing experience.

Our Platforms acknowledge the option DNT:1 as being a valid browser setting for the communication of user preferences.

How does Clear Channel ask for consent to the use of cookies?

Clear Channel abides by the applicable legislation on cookies. On accessing the Platform for the first time, a pop-up will be displayed asking if the user wishes to accept the use of cookies. Should the user deny acceptance, cookies will be disabled for the user in question. Even after expressing acceptance, the user can still disable cookies at any given moment by way of the browser settings (for more information on how to proceed, consult the local equivalent of the “how to delete cookies” tab on www.allaboutcookies.org/cookies)

Users should take note that if cookies are disabled, certain parts of our Platform may not function completely as intended, and usage of the Platform may not be assessed and measured as described previously; in this situation we will not be able to take the actions of users into account when conducting analysis on data or when seeking solutions designed to improve our service based on this same analysis.
